Interesting monster of a book, you need a crane to lift it! Tons of information about the history of art.
Lovely little, but thick book of artists. It's an A to Z guide to 500 painters and sculptors, and while the entries are short there is a sample of each artist's work. One of my favourite art books.
An underated artist, a great book based on the television series of the same name, with step by step comments from Rolf and lots of pictures of his paintings. As always I'd like a bit more information on his techniques, but I still really like this book. Visit Rolf Harris's website.
Not much information, but the sketches are brilliant in this A4 size book of Michelangelo's Life Drawings from the Dover Art Library, and there are 46 of them to browse through.
